Broadcast Programming Specialist
Be part of an award-winning, highly-rated public broadcasting station and organization. Our talented radio team is responsible for the coordination of all on-air materials for broadcast by utilizing talent, technology, local, and national programming. You will be responsible for the radio station's day-to-day technical operations; plan and carryout studio and remote broadcasting and recording, ensure continuous 24-hour quality broadcasts, and manage and record programming from National Public Radio Content Depot. You will also serve as on-air announcer; maintain and program the station's automation system for unattended operation; and train volunteers and staff in operational matters including EAN procedures, automation, and equipment operation. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus one year of work-related experience, including on-air experience. You should possess a high degree of computer, and audio recording and editing skills; and have an appreciation for diverse audiences and must be willing to work some irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as necessary. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
